The member states of the European Union collectively represent a market of nearly 500 million consumers. Many European countries have diplomatic and trade missions in Florida. European banks, financial companies and companies from other sectors have regional headquarters here and have chosen South Florida as a site to expand their operations into the North American and Latin American markets.
The purpose of the Europe Committee of the Florida Bar's International Law Section is to cover legal and political developments in Europe. In addition to this overall goal, the committee leads efforts to develop and maintain professional and cultural relationships with lawyers and other professionals in Europe. In addition, the Europe committee organizes events and webinars to increase understanding of the various legal, economic and cultural standards in different regions of Europe.
