Susanne Leone appointed as Europe Committee Chair for The Florida Bar ILS

Susanne Leone has been appointed on March 31, 2022 to serve as the Chair of the Europe committee for the Florida Bar International Law Section.

The United States’ trade and investment relationship with the countries of Europe is the largest in the world. The member states of the EU collectively represent a market of close to 500 million consumers. Many European countries maintain diplomatic and trade legations in Florida. European banking, finance, and companies from other sectors maintain regional headquarters here and have selected South Florida as a location from which to expand into north and Latin American markets.

The purpose of the Europe committee of the Florida Bar ILS is to cover legal and policy related developments in Europe. Beyond this general purpose, the committee leads efforts to develop and maintain professional and cultural ties with legal and other professionals in Europe. Additionally, the Europe committee is organizing events/webinars to improve understanding of the various legal, economic and cultural frameworks in various parts of Europe.
